Sertifi eAuthorize allows your property to securely collect and store guest credit card details before a stay or event, without charging the card. Your team can then unmask and view those details when it's time to process payment.
How It Works
- Your team sends an eAuthorization form to the guest.
- The guest fills in their credit card details and submits the secure form.
- The card details are tokenized and stored securely.
- An authorized team member can unmask the card details when needed to process the charge.
Required Settings for eAuth to Work
All of the following must be configured before eAuth will function:
Setting | Where to Find It | What's Required |
Payment Settings | Administration → Account Settings → Payment Settings | Must be enabled. This populates the Payments section in Account Settings. |
Payment Gateway | Payment Settings → Gateways & Rules | A gateway must be configured with at least CC selected. ACH cannot be used for pre-authorization. |
Document Library | Administration → Account Settings → Sending Page Default | Must be set to Show so the CC Auth form is available as a sending option. |
SkyFlow / TokenEx | Administration → Account Settings → Integrations → TokenEx | Must be enabled with a token length greater than 0. This controls how long card details are stored. |
Security Group — Can View Unmasked CC | Administration → Account Settings → Security Settings | Required for any Admin to view card details. See Setting Up Security Groups. |
