By default, Sertifi CC authorization forms do not include a CVV or security code field. If your property requires guests to provide their CVV, this field can be added to your form through your portal settings.
How to add the CVV field
The CVV field is configured at the portal level by a Super Admin. The exact steps vary slightly between Classic and Next Gen portals, but generally:
- Log into your Sertifi portal as a Super Admin
- Go to your portal or account settings
- Find the CC authorization form configuration or template settings
- Enable the CVV or security code field option
- Save your changes
If you do not see this option in your settings or are unsure where to find it, contact Sertifi Support and we can confirm whether this setting is available for your portal and assist with enabling it.
Important note on CVV storage
For PCI compliance reasons, Sertifi does not store CVV values after a form is submitted. The CVV is used for authorization purposes only and will not be visible to admins after the guest completes the form. This is by design and cannot be changed.
