Overview
You can add a due date to a payment request, which triggers reminder emails before the date arrives. However, the due date does not prevent a guest from paying after that date has passed — payments remain open until the folder is closed or the payment is manually removed.
How to prevent payment after a certain date
If you need to stop a guest from paying after a specific date, manually remove the payment request from the folder in File Maintenance. This is the only way to block submission.
Note: A signed document with an expired payment request cannot be paid until the folder is un-expired.
