Overview
When you unmask a credit card in Sertifi, you will see the full card number, cardholder name, expiration date, and billing address — but not the CVV/CVC number. This is by design and cannot be changed.
Why CVV is never stored
CVV numbers exist only for verification at the time of the transaction. Storing CVV information after authorization is a violation of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards). Sertifi is PCI-compliant and does not retain CVV data once the transaction has been validated.
No payment processor, gateway, or platform is permitted to store CVV numbers. This applies to all users and all portal types.
What to do if your payment system requires the CVV
If your property management system (PMS) or payment terminal requires a CVV to process a charge, you will need to collect it directly from the guest at the time of payment. Sertifi cannot provide stored CVV data.
Most PMS integrations (Opera, Delphi, etc.) handle this requirement natively when a live payment is processed. Contact your PMS provider for guidance if needed.
