What Happens After I Un-Expire a File?

Overview

Un-expiring a file does not automatically re-notify the signer. You need to take one additional step after un-expiring.

What to do after un-expiring

1. Un-expire the file in File Maintenance.
2. Click Re-Invite to resend the signing link to the signer.
3. The signer now has 24 hours to sign before the document expires again.

Important limits

Once a document's files have been pulled offline (30 days after expiration), the file can no longer be un-expired. To restore it, you would first need to un-archive the file, then un-expire it and set a new expiration date.
