Why deletion sometimes fails
Sertifi file rooms that have been open for more than 180 days without completion enter a state where the automated system has already queued them for deletion. In this state, attempting to manually delete the room triggers an error — the system prevents a double-deletion action.
What this means for you
- The file room is already scheduled to be removed automatically.
- It will not send any further notification emails to clients.
- No action is required on your part — the folder will be cleaned up by the automated process.
If you need it removed immediately
Contact Sertifi Support and we can submit a request to Engineering to move the file room offline manually. Please provide the folder URL or name and your approval to proceed.
