Overview
Sertifi allows certain fields on credit card authorization forms to be pre-filled or pre-populated with information before the form is sent to a guest. This guide explains how pre-filled fields work and what to do if they are not appearing as expected.
What Fields Can Be Pre-Filled?
Depending on your portal configuration and integration setup, the following types of information can be pre-populated on a CC auth form:
- Guest name
- Arrival and departure dates
- Property name
- Reservation or confirmation number
- Amount due
- Custom text fields added by your admin
How Pre-Filling Works
Pre-filled data is typically pulled from your property management system (PMS) or entered manually when creating the folder in Sertifi. If your portal is integrated with a PMS such as Opera Cloud or Delphi, reservation data may populate automatically when a folder is created from that system.
If Pre-Filled Fields Are Blank or Missing
- Confirm that the data was entered when the folder was created — blank fields at creation will appear blank on the form.
- If your portal uses a PMS integration, check that the reservation data in your PMS is complete and that the integration is active.
- If a specific field that should auto-populate is not doing so, contact Sertifi Support with your portal name and the name of the field.
If You Need to Add a Custom Pre-Filled Text Field
Super Admins can add custom text fields to authorization forms through portal settings. If you need a new field added or an existing field modified, contact Sertifi Support with details about what you need the field to display.
