When to update credentials
If your property uses Opera (V5 on-premise, V5 hosted, or Opera Cloud), Sertifi connects to Opera via OWS or OHIP. When your Opera credentials change — username, password, hotel code, or endpoint URL — you must update them in Sertifi as well or the integration will stop working.
Steps
- Go to Administration > Account Settings > Integrations > Opera.
- Scroll to the Property Settings section.
- Update the fields that have changed (Username, Password, Hotel Code, etc.).
- Click Save.
- Click Validate Credentials to test the connection.
What the validation result means
- Green banner — credentials are valid, connection is active.
- Red banner — there is an error. Check for typos or extra spaces in the username or password fields. Even a single extra space will cause validation to fail.
Common error: OWS 401 Unauthorized
This error means the credentials entered in Sertifi do not match what Opera has on file. Steps to resolve:
- Confirm the credentials with your Opera system administrator.
- Re-enter them in Sertifi exactly as provided — no extra spaces.
- Click Validate Credentials again.
- If still failing, contact Sertifi Support — the OWS endpoint URL may also need to be updated.
Opera Cloud (OHIP) credential updates
Opera Cloud credentials are managed differently. Contact Sertifi Support at SupportSertifi@flywire.com with your property name and we will walk you through the OHIP update process.
