Overview
If Sertifi experiences a timeout or unexpected disconnection when trying to communicate with Opera, you may see one of the following errors. These typically indicate that Opera services are temporarily unavailable or need to be restarted.
Error Messages
- "PROCESSING ERROR: The operation has timed out"
- "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive."
- "PROCESSING ERROR: Transparent proxy error: The operation was canceled."
What These Mean
These errors indicate that Sertifi sent a request to Opera but did not receive a response within the expected timeframe, or the connection was dropped before a response was received. This is usually a temporary issue on the Opera server side.
What to Do
- Wait and retry — Timeout errors are sometimes temporary. Wait a few minutes and try the process again.
- Contact your Opera administrator — Ask them to check whether Opera services are running normally and, if needed, run the OEDS Configurator and restart Opera services.
- Contact your Oracle representative — If the issue persists, Oracle support can investigate whether there is a service-level problem on the Opera side.
Need Help?
If timeouts are happening repeatedly and are not resolved by restarting Opera services, contact Sertifi Support with the date, time, and details of the failing transactions. Our team can investigate whether the issue is on the Sertifi side or the Opera side.
