Why links expire
Sertifi uses secure, time-limited links to protect the signing experience. A link expires when it has been clicked too many times (default limit: 5 clicks) or after a set time period.
What the signer sees
When a link expires, the signer is taken to a page where they can request a new link themselves — they do not need to contact ySertifi Support.
How the signer requests a new link
- On the expired link page, click Request New Link.
- Wait 30 seconds before clicking again if needed.
- A new secure link will be sent to their email address on file.
Note: When a new link is generated, all previous links for the same request are automatically disabled.
If the signer cannot request a new link themselves
A Super Admin or Admin can resend the invitation from the file room:
- Open the file room in your portal.
- Find the signer and click Resend Invitation.
- The signer will receive a fresh link by email.
