Overview
If your property has changed its PMS Location Code in Delphi, the Sertifi E-Sign button may stop working. This is because Sertifi uses the PMS Location Code to identify your portal's custom settings in Salesforce.
Why this happens
The Sertifi E-Sign button in Salesforce is configured to look for your portal settings using the PMS Location Code. When that code changes, Salesforce can no longer find the matching settings and shows an error like:
"Can't find settings. The name should be 'Settings' or custom, and the API code should match the Sertifi Portal."
How to fix it
Option 1 — Update the PMS Location Code in Delphi (recommended)
- In Delphi, navigate to Properties.
- Open the affected property record.
- Locate the PMS Location Code field.
- Enter the correct, updated code.
- Save the record and retry the Sertifi E-Sign button.
Option 2 — Update Salesforce Custom Settings to match the new code
If the PMS Location Code has permanently changed and you need Salesforce to match it:
- In Salesforce, go to Setup > Custom Settings.
- Click Manage next to Sertifi Setting.
- Find the setting for your property.
- Click Edit and update the Name field to match the new PMS Location Code.
- Save and test the Sertifi button.
If you are not sure which value to use or do not have access to Custom Settings, contact Sertifi Support — your Salesforce admin may need to be involved.
