Salesforce — Merge Fields Not Working ("I need help with my <>")

Merge fields in your Salesforce documents or templates (shown as <<Field Name>>) are not populating correctly, or you are receiving errors related to merge field syntax.

Merge fields in Salesforce documents are managed by Amadeus, not Sertifi. For merge field issues, contact [e-mail] directly.

What Sertifi can help with

Sertifi can assist with Sertifi data tags — these are the tags used to auto-fill fields on Sertifi authorization forms and documents (formatted as {{tag_name}} or similar). If your issue is specifically with Sertifi tag formatting rather than Salesforce merge fields, contact Sertifi Support.

To tell the difference:

• Salesforce merge fields look like: <<First Name>> or {!Contact.FirstName} — these are Amadeus/Salesforce managed
• Sertifi data tags are configured in your portal's Data Tag settings and reference Sertifi field names — these are Sertifi managed
