Overview
Real Time Updates (RTU) is the connection between your Sertifi Classic portal and your Salesforce org. When RTU is working, actions taken in Sertifi (documents signed, payments completed) automatically update the corresponding records in Salesforce. When RTU is broken, those updates stop happening.
Testing RTU is one of the first steps when troubleshooting any Salesforce integration issue.
How to test RTU
- Log in to your Sertifi Classic portal.
- Go to Administration > Account Settings.
- Select Real Time Updates.
- You will see the connected Salesforce Org listed, along with any current status messages.
- Click Test.
- If the integration is working, the result will show Successful.
- If it is not working, it will show Unsuccessful with an error message in red.
If the test shows Unsuccessful
- Note the error message shown — this helps identify the specific cause.
- RTU can only be reconnected by a Super Admin who has the login credentials for the Salesforce org.
- Contact Sertifi Support at SupportSertifi@flywire.com for the reconnection macro and next steps.
If the Salesforce org has changed
If your property has changed management companies, rebranded, or migrated to a new Salesforce org, do not simply reconnect RTU to the new org without completing the full rebrand process. Contact Sertifi Support before making changes — connecting to a new org may require contract confirmation and additional steps.
To disconnect the current org: in the RTU settings, use the dropdown at the top and select None, then save. Then contact Sertifi Support to proceed with reconnection.
