Overview
Sertifi uses the confirmation number from Opera to match a guest's credit card authorization form to the correct reservation. If the confirmation number is missing, incorrect, or in an unexpected format, Sertifi will return an error.
Error Messages
You may see one of the following:
- "The confirmation number is incorrect. Verify the confirmation number in your Opera application."
- "The confirmation number is missing. Enter the confirmation number in your Opera application."
What the Guest Should Do
Ask the guest to confirm they have entered the correct reservation confirmation number on the Sertifi form. The confirmation number must match exactly what appears in Opera.
What Your Property Can Do
- Log in to Opera and locate the reservation.
- Verify that a confirmation number is present on the reservation and that it is correctly formatted.
- If the confirmation number is missing from the reservation, add it in Opera and then attempt the process again.
- Confirm the correct confirmation number with the guest and ask them to resubmit the form.
Still Having Issues?
If the confirmation number appears correct in Opera but the error persists, this may be related to how confirmation numbers are formatted at your property. Contact Sertifi Support and include the Opera confirmation number and property name so our team can investigate the configuration.
