Overview
If Sertifi receives a security or authorization error when communicating with Opera, you may see one of the errors below. These are typically caused by credential or role configuration issues in your Oracle system.
Error Messages
- "PROCESSING ERROR: OSB-386200: General web service security error"
- "OHIP API request failed: 403 Forbidden — User is not authorized to call this operation"
OSB-386200 — What This Means
This is a security error from the Oracle Service Bus. The most common cause is that the credentials (username and password) used by the Sertifi integration user are invalid or have expired in your Opera instance.
What to do: Contact Sertifi Support. We will work with you to verify the integration credentials are correct and up to date.
OHIP 403 Forbidden — What This Means
This error means the Sertifi integration user in your Opera Cloud (OHIP) instance does not have the required permissions to perform the requested operation. This is typically caused by an incorrect role assignment.
What to do: Your Oracle administrator will need to update the integration user's role in your Opera system. The steps are:
- In your Opera system (SSD), locate the integration user account.
- Remove the [CHAIN]-WSACCESS role currently attached to the user.
- Verify the role has been removed.
- Re-attach the [CHAIN]-WSACCESS role at the Chain Level only.
- Verify the role is now attached correctly.
- Reset the password using the Reset Password button in the system (do not manually change it).
- The new password will be sent by email.
Replace [CHAIN] with your actual chain code. Contact Sertifi Support once this is done so we can update the credentials in our system.
Need Help?
Contact Sertifi Support with your property name and the specific error message. For the 403 error, having your Oracle administrator available during troubleshooting will speed up resolution.
