Overview
If Sertifi is unable to post a payment charge to Opera and you see a processing error, the cause may be that a default Kiosk cashier has not been configured in your Opera system.
Error Message
You may see: "PROCESSING ERROR: Opera payment push error"
This can also appear as a cashier-related error when attempting to post charges.
What This Means
Opera requires a default cashier designated as a Kiosk User in order to process payments from external integrations like Sertifi. If this cashier does not exist or has been incorrectly set up, payment pushes will fail.
What Your Property Needs to Do
Your Opera administrator will need to set up a Kiosk cashier in Opera:
- In Opera, navigate to Setup > Configuration > Cashiering > Cashiers.
- Click New. The number will auto-populate.
- Give the cashier the name KIOSK.
- Set the maximum uses to 99.
- Select the Kiosk User radio button.
- Save the cashier.
Important: Having two active default KIOSK cashiers will also cause this error. If a duplicate exists, one must be marked as inactive.
